Prof Chi-Wa YUEN joined HKUST as one of its founding members in 1991, upon graduation from the University of Chicago. He moved to the University of Hong Kong (his alma mater) 4 years later and has been working there since.
Over the years, he has held visiting positions at the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, University of Chicago, Peking University, Wuhan University, as well as HKUST.
Chi-Wa’s current research studies the dynamics of corporate financing over the business cycle. He has also developed interest in health issues, and is teaching a master-level course on Health Economics.
